Devil's Tooth Finally

I finally received the call from Freddie. We met at three today and he was kind enough to drive me to the locations. It was great to see we both agreed to where Devils Tooth was located. His friend's daughter lives within the area at Buena Vista (MOD property) and she was kind enough to let me in her home to her back garden from where Devils Tooth can be seen.

HMS Challenger in Bermuda

Gary, I find these sorts of projects both exciting and frustrating. On the one hand my mind, because I have been involved in Bermuda's history for a number of years, think it remembers certain photographs or views but the mind-rolerdex of time sometimes lets me down. Retaking photos in Bermuda

We live near Dockyard which is where HMS Challenger was docked when she visited and where a lot of the photos where taken. The buildings are still much as they were then so it is quite easy to find the locations, but tricky to re-photograph as the Challenger photographers had a very wide angle lens and there were far fewer trees to get in the way. There are more photos which I know where they are but a lot are unplaceable- the sand dunes and photos of vegetation. Admiralty House no longer… Continue

Challenger Medal

Gary, could not resist :-)

The medal took about 30 mins to make, using images supplied by Glenn M. Stein, FRGS who I contacted to obtain permission/licence for their use. The images were used both as difuse maps and bump maps.
