Camiguin Island is a volcanic island in Mindanao, Southern Philippines. Mentioned in the few pages devoted to it, as HMS Challenger dropped anchor albeit briefly and made brief notes about the island, it is now a popular tourist whereto. It's most most known features: Mt. Hibok-hibok, White island, cold and hots prings, and its clean seas: its rich bio-di. Sadly it was only a very minor, perhaps "spur-of-the-moment", station of the HMS. Nevertheless, it is an interesting anecdote in the history of the island, a not-so-heard-of event that once a no-nonsense ship passed by and noticed the island born of fire.
